Who's here: confident over-60s, and the people who like them

Granny Slags is built around people over 60, mostly women, who want flirting, fun and good company without signing up for a relationship. It is also for the adults of any age who would rather date someone with a few more stories and a lot less to prove.

The name is cheeky, and we're keeping it. The way we write about members is not cheeky at all: nobody here is a punchline or a novelty. Anyone aged 18 or over can join, and profiles are shared with partner sites in the same network, so the people you see may have signed up elsewhere. How Granny Slags works explains joining, browsing and messaging in plain steps.

Ten years or thirty: making an age gap work

An age gap rarely spoils anything on its own. What spoils it is assumption: that she must be lonely, that he must be after money, that someone over 60 wants a particular kind of evening because of a number on a birth certificate.

The arrangements that work start on equal footing. You both say early that this is casual, you say what you'd like and what you wouldn't, and you agree what "discreet" means before anyone is seen anywhere together. Our age-gap casual dating guide goes through each of those conversations, including the awkward one about money.

Sex after 60: comfort, confidence and good health

Menopause changes things, and the NHS is frank about it: dryness, irritation and itching around the vagina are common and can make sex painful. Lubricants and vaginal moisturisers are sold in pharmacies without a prescription, a pharmacist will talk it through in private, and a GP can prescribe further treatment. One practical point: oil-based lubricants can damage condoms, so pick a water-based one.

Sexual health doesn't retire either. Many STIs have no symptoms, so the NHS advice is to get tested when you have new partners, and sexual health clinics are free and confidential. Our UK, Australia and Ireland pages list where to go in each country.

Making a profile and browsing cost nothing. Reading and replying to messages needs a paid membership, and memberships renew automatically until you turn renewal off in Settings > Billing. Before you pay, note the billing name shown at checkout: that's the name to look for on your card statement.

Nobody genuine asks you for money

Meet somewhere public the first time, get there and home under your own steam, and tell a friend where you'll be. Our meeting-safely checklist covers the rest.

The one rule with no exceptions: never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency or bank details to someone you haven't met, however good the story. Requests like that are the classic sign of a romance scam, and those scams are common. Our romance scams guide shows how those conversations usually unfold. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, report fraud to Report Fraud on 0300 123 2040; in Scotland call Police Scotland on 101; in Australia use Scamwatch, or ReportCyber if you've lost money. Report the profile from inside the members area too. More on our safety and consent page.

06

In the UK, Australia or Ireland?

Granny Slags is used mostly in the UK, then Australia. Each country page sticks to useful local facts rather than filler: where to get free, confidential sexual health testing, where to report a scam, and who to call if a date goes wrong.

07

Who runs Granny Slags, and how our guides are checked

Granny Slags is run by Ambervine Inc, a Delaware company based in Newark, Delaware. It shares one member network with partner sites, and payments are taken under the billing name shown at checkout rather than the Granny Slags name.

Our guides are written for readers, not search engines. Every outside fact links to its primary source, such as the NHS, the HSE, police reporting services or a government scam service, and each page shows the date it was checked. Our about page explains how we write and correct pages, and the facts page puts the essentials in one place. Account and billing questions go to the members help centre.

08

Questions people ask

Do I have to be over 60 to join?

No. Anyone aged 18 or over can join. The site and its guides are written with the over-60s in mind, and with the adults who'd like to meet them.

How much does it cost?

Signing up, making a profile and looking around are all free. To read and reply to messages you'll need a membership. The members area shows the price of each plan before you pay.

What name appears when I pay?

Payments use the billing name shown at checkout, which may not be the Granny Slags name, so note it before you pay. If you don't recognise a charge, the members help centre can confirm it.

Will people on partner sites see me too?

Yes. Granny Slags shares its members with partner sites in the same network, so your profile can be seen, and messaged, from those sites too.

How do I cancel, or close my account?

Turn off renewal in Settings > Billing. To remove your profile completely, open your avatar menu and choose Settings > Delete Account.

Are profiles checked?

Every profile photo is reviewed, and members can buy an optional paid ID badge. Nobody verifies what people say about themselves, so take your time before meeting.
